Samsung QB55C and QM55C are both 55-inch 4K Crystal UHD commercial signage displays. For Malaysia, Samsung lists the QB55C as 350 nit / 16/7 and the QM55C as 500 nit / 24/7. The models use the same 1237.9 × 708.8 × 28.5 mm cabinet dimensions, 15.7 kg set weight and 200 × 200 mm VESA pattern, so the decision is primarily about operating environment and system requirements rather than physical size.

What stays the same at 55 inches

Both models use the same 55-inch VA panel size, 4K UHD resolution, 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angle, 28.5 mm cabinet depth, 15.7 kg set weight and 200 × 200 mm VESA pattern. Both provide three HDMI inputs, two USB ports, RJ45, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RS232 control and Samsung’s Tizen signage platform. This means mounting geometry and basic HDMI-based integration can be very similar even though the operating class differs.

Choose QB55C when 350 nit and 16/7 are appropriate

QB55C is the value-focused choice when the screen will operate within Samsung’s 16/7 rating and the installation has controlled indoor lighting. PNSS would consider it for internal corporate communication, directories, meeting areas, education spaces, menu/information displays and similar applications where 350 nit is adequate.

Step up to QM55C for longer duty or tougher lighting

QM55C moves to 500 nit, 24/7 operation support and a 25% haze panel. It also adds DisplayPort 1.2 and doubles internal flash from 8GB to 16GB. PNSS would normally favour QM55C where screens run extended hours, face more ambient light or reflections, require a larger lifecycle margin, or need DisplayPort as part of the signal design.

The cheaper model is not always the lower-cost system

Choosing QB55C simply because it costs less can be false economy if the actual requirement is 24/7 operation or stronger readability in a bright environment. The reverse is also true: QM55C may be unnecessary for an internal display that runs only during normal business hours. The correct comparison is operating requirement versus panel class, not only purchase price.
