On 22 September 2026, Epson America announced three new Home Cinema laser projectors: LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500. The family combines 3-chip 3LCD imaging, laser illumination, Epson's 4K Display Technology and 4K HDR support. LS5000 and LS6000 use a conventional Epson Cinema lens; the U.S. LS7500 uses a short-throw lens.
What launched—and why the model name matters
The LS11000 is not one of the new models. It is the established higher-tier model that Epson uses as the picture-quality and contrast reference for the expanded range.
Epson's Central Asia catalogue lists EH‑LS7000 at 3,600 lumens with a 1.32–2.15:1 throw ratio. That is not the same specification as the U.S. LS7500 short-throw model. PNSS should therefore use the exact regional SKU on every proposal and avoid treating LS7000 and LS7500 as interchangeable names.

Which model is the practical fit?

Best value
LS5000
Choose it for a light-controlled cinema or gaming room where 2,500 lumens meets the calculated screen target. It retains HDMI 2.1, 120Hz, ALLM, eARC and sub‑20ms input lag.

Brightness step-up
LS6000
The most straightforward upgrade when room light, screen size or HDR headroom makes 2,500 lumens marginal. Published lens geometry and core gaming features remain aligned with LS5000.

Regional alternative
EH‑LS7000
Its regional specification adds 3,600-lumen output, AIPQ/AISR image enhancement, Wi‑Fi 6E and smart-home connectivity. Treat it as a separate long-throw SKU and verify Malaysia supply.
The room determines the right projector
Brightness alone does not decide the result. PNSS should calculate image width, throw distance, screen gain, ambient light, viewing distance and required luminance before selecting a model. A brighter projector cannot correct a poor screen choice, unsuitable wall colour, uncontrolled daylight or an impossible mounting position.
For movies and streaming
Prioritise black-level control, screen surface, room reflections, seating distance, sound isolation and accurate projector placement.
For gaming and sports
Confirm 4K/120 source compatibility, HDMI cable bandwidth, ALLM behaviour, audio return path and the intended aspect ratio.

Malaysia availability must be confirmed
Epson America's release states U.S. availability from late September 2026. The EH‑LS7000 reference comes from Epson Central Asia. Neither source confirms Malaysia inventory, local SKU, price, warranty or support terms. PNSS should verify these items with Epson Malaysia or an authorised distributor at quotation stage.
Frequently asked questions
Epson home cinema planning questions
Which Epson home cinema projectors are new in 2026?
Epson America's 22 September 2026 announcement introduces LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500. Epson's regional catalogue also lists the separate EH‑LS7000. LS11000 is an established earlier model.
What is the main difference between LS5000 and LS6000?
The core lens, 4K display, HDMI 2.1, 120Hz and gaming specifications are closely aligned. The major published step is brightness: 2,500 lumens for LS5000 and 3,400 lumens for LS6000.
Is EH‑LS7000 the same projector as the U.S. LS7500?
No. The official regional EH‑LS7000 page lists 3,600 lumens and a 1.32–2.15:1 throw ratio, while Epson America's LS7500 launch description identifies a different short-throw model. The names should not be treated as interchangeable.
Are these models available in Malaysia?
The cited launch and product pages are from Epson America and Epson Central Asia. Malaysia model code, availability, price, warranty and support terms must be confirmed before quotation.
