Epson is putting its new EB-XQ2030B at the centre of its “Larger Than Life” showcase for Integrate 2026 at ICC Sydney, 2–4 September. The projector is positioned for demanding large-venue, live-event, visitor-attraction, rental/staging and immersive applications where brightness, optics, transportability and installation flexibility all matter.

What Epson is showing at Integrate 2026

The EB-XQ2030B is the hero high-brightness model in Epson's Integrate 2026 line-up. Epson describes it as the world's smallest and lightest 30,000-lumen 4K projector in its class. Regional show coverage lists a weight of approximately 34.4 kg, making the physical design almost as important as the headline brightness for rigging, handling and service access.

At Integrate, Epson is pairing the projector with the new ELPLU06H lens as part of its broader H-Series optical platform.

30,000 lumens is only part of the change

The EB-XQ2030B combines 30,000-lumen colour and white light output, 4K resolution, 3LCD laser projection and Epson's 4K Crystal Motion image processing. Epson's Advanced Cooling Engine is designed to manage the thermal load of this brightness class while allowing a substantially more compact chassis.

Current Epson specifications also highlight an IP6X-rated dust-resistant, filter-free optical design, integrated camera-assisted setup functions and a laser light source rated around 20,000 hours under stated operating conditions.

PNSS specification noteAt this performance level, brightness should not be selected in isolation. Screen size and gain, ambient light, content type, operating mode, redundancy, access equipment, rigging loads and lens geometry still determine whether a 30,000-lumen projector is the correct system choice.

The H-Series lens platform matters just as much

Epson is introducing a new H-Series lens family to extend the flagship platform from ultra-short-throw through long-throw applications. Published regional material describes coverage of roughly 0.35:1 to 11:1 across the lens family, with new straight and L-shaped ultra-short-throw options, zoom capability in the UST range and long-throw optics for large venues and projection mapping.

For consultants and integrators, that broader optical range can make the same projector platform relevant to immersive rooms, curved surfaces, rear projection, auditoriums, staging and architectural projection—but the exact throw ratio is lens-dependent and must be calculated against the real image width and projector position.

Designed for modern signal and control workflows

  • Intel SDM-ready expansion for modular AVoIP/media-player connectivity.
  • Professional signal interfaces including HDMI and SDI options in current regional specifications, plus HDBaseT on Epson's published European specification.
  • Camera-assisted stacking and blending for multi-projector environments.
  • NFC and Epson configuration/management tools to assist setup and fleet administration.
  • Control-system interoperability through protocols such as PJLink, RS-232 and IP control, with Epson citing compatibility with common AV control ecosystems.

PNSS perspective: the smaller chassis changes project engineering

The most interesting part for PNSS is not simply moving from a 20,000-lumen-class projector to 30,000 lumens. High brightness in a smaller and lighter chassis can reduce some of the structural, lifting, access and servicing burdens that traditionally accompany this class of projector.

For Malaysian auditoriums, university halls, event spaces, visitor experiences and immersive installations, PNSS would still start with the physical design: image size, throw distance, lens choice, mounting structure, access route, ventilation, signal transport, power, control, redundancy and maintenance strategy. The EB-XQ2030B's lens and SDM platform then become useful tools inside that design rather than reasons to select the projector by model number alone.

Availability: do not assume one regional launch date

Availability information currently differs by region. Integrate 2026 coverage in Australia describes the EB-XQ2030B as launching later in 2026, while Epson's US announcement states availability from the beginning of 2027. Malaysia availability, final SKU, warranty, lens availability and commercial pricing should therefore be confirmed before PNSS specifies or quotes the model.
